Illness and COVID-19
Students are asked to read and adhere to the precautions described in the BC Government ImmunizeBC information release (www.gov.bc.ca/FluBC). They are:
- Get a flu shot

If you have the symptoms listed (fever, headache, muscle pain, runny nose, sore throat, extreme tiredness, and cough), stay home from work and school to look after your own health and to keep from infecting others. Dress Code
Programs offered by Elevare™ Career Institute prepare students for the workplace. Therefore, students are expected to wear clothing appropriate to their intended employment.
Emergency Evacuation Procedures
Please ensure that you are familiar with the emergency exits at the campus. Emergency evacuation procedures are posted at each campus.
Student Emergency Contact & Updates
Students must maintain up-to-date contact details (including cell phone numbers) to ensure prompt communication in emergencies. It is highly recommended an alternate contact information is also provided and kept up-to-date. This is especially important when students are on work experiences. Your alternate contact will be used if there is a family emergency, and you cannot be contacted immediately.
Public Safety Emergencies:
- In cases where a public safety emergency occurs (e.g., local police close down the area or the campus bridge due to a bomb threat or other hazards), the Institute will notify students as soon as it is safe to return.
- Classes will be conducted remotely using the Institute’s hybrid teaching facilities, with instructors teaching from home if required.
